Democratic Republic of Congo champions TP Mazembe have signed Zimbabwe international midfielder Ali Sadiki.

Previously, he had coached another Tunisian side, CS Sfaxien, who he lead to the Confederation Cup last November. He replaced Frenchman Sebastien Desabre, who took up the role of technical director. Krol's backroom staff have also been dismissed.

AS Vita Club beat Zamalek in the African Champions League first group match.

On Saturday evening Esperance, who won the title in 2011, lost 2:1 to visitors Entente Setif from Algeria.

Sudan's Al Hilal edged out four-time champions TP Mazembe of DR Congo 1:0 in their opening Group A game of the African Champions League.

Limit on fans for Vita's match against Zamalek in Kinshasa

Last year winner Al Ahly (Egypt) failed to reach the group-stage.
